If you have never heard of Jess Connolly or Naptime Diaries then you are missing out! I love listening to her and reading her blog. She is so real and beautiful inside and out! Her shop, Naptime Diaries, creates the most beautiful scripture art and they also create Advent calendars and devotionals.
My husband and I are both really trying to make Bible study and Jesus more a part of our everyday. We both grew up in Christian homes, but I think that sometimes, growing up Christian can mean that you don't cling to Jesus like you should.
My life hasn't been hard. I was never a wild child. I didn't get saved from drug abuse or a bad situation. Don't get me wrong, I've had times that were hard for me emotionally or trying on my patience and I've felt Jesus in those times. But when someone meets Jesus after enduring abuse or neglect, I think that they sometimes have more of a fire for God than someone that has always been in church. It is easy to become complacent and lazy about your faith.
I know beyond a doubt that I am BLESSED! I am not lucky and I am not just "that good." I am BLESSED. It is my goal to try to draw nearer to Him and to stop being lazy about my faith because this is the best way to thank Him for my blessings.
With all of the controversy over "the red cup" and the "should we decorate for Christmas before Halloween or shouldn't we" debate, we can lose sight that Christmas is supposed to be about a baby. A baby that was sent to Earth to save all of us. So this year I bought the Naptime Diaries Advent Devotional to Make Room for Him in our home and hearts this holiday season.
You still have time to get yours too! As long as you order by November 20, you will have a copy in your hands to start on December 1, AND if you use my referral link below, you can get 15% off!
